Why the Public Tee Sheet Looks Empty When Members Still Have Times

The empty public page may not be the book the shop sells from. Some shops hold a member book that only loads after you log in. Log in with the account that shop actually uses, or have a member book you as a guest. Where there is a member book, refreshing the logged-out page will not show it.

The public page can be a different book

Some shops run more than one tee sheet on the same course. The public website lets you browse dates. A registered public account can book some of those dates. A member, resident, or loyalty login may open a third view, such as a Member Tee Times page that the guest view does not load.

Mayfair Lakes says it outright: you can browse without an account, but you need one to book, and members must log in first to see the Member Tee Times page. If you never log in, you are not looking at the member book.

If you are still learning the booking flow itself, start with the beginner booking notes. This guide is for the identity problem. The sheet you can see may not be the sheet the shop is selling.

Check which login you are using

Write down which login you are using before you decide the course is sold out. A shop may offer one of these views or all three.

1. Logged out. You are browsing. At Mayfair Lakes you can browse times without an account, but you cannot book them.
2. Registered public account. Email and password. Westminster and Mayfair Lakes also require a card on file. At Westminster and Calgary, this is the login that books.
3. Member, resident, or player-card login. This can be the same website with a different entitlement, or a separate member app. Mayfair Lakes shows its Member Tee Times page only after a member logs in.

Golf Westminster will not take a reservation online or by phone unless that registered account already exists and has a card on file. City of Calgary Golf makes you sign in to a Golf profile before you can book, change, or cancel. A private-club member app can be stricter. ForeTees ClubCentral says you must be a member of a private club that uses that app. That public site is not a back door into ClubCentral.

How to tell which sheet you are on

Look at the page, not the course name.

• Is there a Sign in, Member, or Member Tee Times control you have not used?
• Does the shop mention a resident card, a loyalty pass, or a verified resident type?
• Can you open checkout, or does every time bounce you to register?
• Did the clubhouse create a profile that never got a password? Calgary tells golfers to call the shop when a clubhouse email was typed wrong and the online login fails.

If the date is still grey after you are on the right login, the problem may be the release window, not the sheet. That is the 7-day and 14-day public book problem.

Get on the registered public book first

Municipal shops like Westminster and Calgary sell to the public from a registered account, not from a guest browse.

Create the account on the course's own booking site. Use one email. Put a card on file if the shop asks. Confirm the password works the day before you care about a time. If register fails, you may already have a profile from a prior round or a clubhouse signup. Calgary says to call the clubhouse when an in-person profile will not accept a password, or when an email already exists. Do not open a second account.

The member book is a guest-of-member problem

If that shop keeps the useful times on a member book, a public account may not show them. Ask a member to book you as a guest, or get the membership, resident card, or player pass that shop actually checks.

Ask the shop three things:

1. Can a member add a guest on that login, or only at the window?
2. Does the guest have to play with the member?
3. Is there a public book at all, or only walk-up leftovers?

Then call a member you actually play with. Do not guess a member number. Do not ask the shop to pretend you are a member. Guest rules vary by shop. Ask that shop.

What not to do

• Do not treat a logged-out calendar as the live book.
• Do not create a second profile when the first one will not log in.
• Do not send a booking bot at a member app. Check that shop's automation and guest rules before you use a bot.

The common booking mistakes that cost a drop still apply: wrong login, no card, hunting instead of booking. Here the first mistake is looking at the wrong sheet.

Why can my playing partner see times I cannot?

They may be on a different login. A member, a resident card, or a verified profile can see a different book than a guest browse.

Do I need a membership to book a muny?

Not at Westminster or Calgary. Both sell to the public from a registered account, not a membership. If a shop also keeps a member or resident book, that is a second book, not the only book.

Can I call instead of logging in?

Only if that shop takes phone reservations for your account type. Westminster still requires the existing account and card, even on the phone. A private club may take only a member on the phone. Ask that shop.
